October 1, 1974 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 52-74 TO : All Internal Revenue Officers, Employees and others concerned SUBJECT : Loss of Sixty-two (62) Sets of Revenue Official Receipts (BIR Form No. 25.24) bearing Serial Numbers 5910143-5910150; 7231279-7231300; 7232351-7232400, inclusive Serial Number Quantity 5910143-5910150 eight (8) sets 7231279-7231300 four (4) sets 7232351-7232400 fifty (50) sets or one pad Mr. ISNURAJI JUKKY, Acting Collection Agent of Tongkil, Sulu and concurrently Collection Officer assigned at the BIR Office in Jolo, Sulu, in his affidavit dated May 22, 1974, reported to this office the loss of sixty-two (62) sets of Revenue Official Receipts (BIR Form 25.24) when the municipality of Jolo, Sulu was attacked by the insurgents on February 7, 1974, thus burning the residential and commercial areas. His office was ransacked, looted and properties destroyed. His steel cabinet was forcibly opened and all the contents were taken away which included the above-mentioned Revenue Official Receipts. Internal revenue officers, employees and others concerned are requested to promptly notify this office in case the above-mentioned receipts are found, taking necessary steps in the meantime to prevent the improper and fraudulent disposition or use thereof.
