November 18, 1997 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 51-97 SUBJECT : Promotional Campaign by Government Officials on Foreign Missions TO : All Revenue Officials and Employees and Others Concerned For the information and guidance of all revenue officials and employees, quoted hereunder is the faxed message of Secretary Alexander Aguirre, Presidential Management Staff dated 30 September 1997: cdpr "At the Cabinet Meeting today, during the discussion on the results of the IMF-WB Annual Meeting, the need for an intensified promotional campaign for the Philippines was raised. In view thereof, the President instructed all government officials who go on missions abroad to undertake a promotional campaign as part of their missions. For this purpose, they shall undergo briefings on the economic prospects of the country with emphasis on its strategic location in the Asia-Pacific region and its comparative advantage in terms of culture, history, international performance and human resources. Kindly relay this Presidential instruction to your respective offices and agencies, and require them to submit a report on their implementation of this instruction.
