September 26, 1974 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 49-74 TO : All Internal Revenue Officers, Employees and others concerned For the information and guidance of all officials and employees of this Bureau, there is quoted hereinbelow Department Memorandum Circular No. 26-74 of the Honorable, the Secretary of Finance dated September 11, 1974, which is self-explanatory: "DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 26-74 "TO : All Heads of Bureaus and Offices under the Department of Finance "SUBJECT : Campaign to invest in the Premyo Savings Bonds "The Government has launched through its fiscal agent, the Central Bank of the Philippines, the latest concept in saving the Premyo Savings Bonds. "The Premyo Savings Bond Program is geared to provide an investment outlet for idle funds, increase domestic savings and help finance the infrastructure projects of the government. "Premyo Savings Bonds are certificates issued as token for savings. The bonds are individually numbered and are available in the following denominations: 10.00 one unit one serial number 20.00 two units two serial numbers 50.00 five units five serial numbers "Each unit has an equal chance of winning any of the Tax-Free Prizes to be drawn on October 18, 1974 and every month thereafter. One (1) First Prize 100,000.00 One (1) Second Prize 50,000.00 One (1) Third Prize 20,000.00 Ten (10) Fourth Prizes 1,000.00 each Twenty (20) Fifth Prizes 500.00 each Fifty (50) Sixth Prizes 100.00 each "Premyo Savings Bonds do not earn interest, but its holders are afforded a perpetual chance to win big prizes. "Premyo Savings Bonds may be surrendered anytime to the bank where purchased or to the Central Bank for encashment.
