Santiago of the Central Administration Office, viz: "Quoted hereunder for information and appropriate action is the full text of the memorandum dated May 29, 1998 from Executive Secretary Alexander Aguirre bearing the above-subject-matter. "In line with the observance of the World No Tobacco Day on 31 May 1998 and in accordance with Proclamation 183 declaring the month of June of every year " National No Smoking Month " and Proclamation 400 declaring government facilities in the country as smoke free zones, the Department of Health is organizing a series of inter-agency activities to increase the awareness on the hazards of smoking and encourage government agencies to advocate for a healthy lifestyle. In this connection, you are hereby directed to fully participate and provide logistic support as necessary to these activities. Your agency's participation to these activities is likewise enjoined.
