July 3, 1998 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 33-98 SUBJECT : Support for the Observance of World No Tobacco Day Every May 31 and National No Smoking Month for Every June Each Year and the Years Thereafter TO : All Internal Revenue Officers, Employees and Others Concerned For the information and guidance of all concerned, quoted hereunder is DOF Memorandum Order dated June 2, 1998 signed by Director Lourdes Z. Santiago of the Central Administration Office, viz: "Quoted hereunder for information and appropriate action is the full text of the memorandum dated May 29, 1998 from Executive Secretary Alexander Aguirre bearing the above-subject-matter. "In line with the observance of the World No Tobacco Day on 31 May 1998 and in accordance with Proclamation 183 declaring the month of June of every year " National No Smoking Month " and Proclamation 400 declaring government facilities in the country as smoke free zones, the Department of Health is organizing a series of inter-agency activities to increase the awareness on the hazards of smoking and encourage government agencies to advocate for a healthy lifestyle. In this connection, you are hereby directed to fully participate and provide logistic support as necessary to these activities. Your agency's participation to these activities is likewise enjoined.
