August 17, 1962 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 32-62 TO: All Internal Revenue Officers and Employees and Others Concerned For the information and guidance of all officers and employees of this Bureau, there is quoted hereunder Memorandum-Circular No. 39-62 of the Honorable, the Acting Secretary of Finance dated August 2, 1962: "SUBJECT:Punctuality in attendance in office and economy in the use of office supplies and materials "In the interest of the service, each and every official and employee of this Department is reminded to observe strictly the regular office hours of from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon, and to keep themselves busy in acting on official papers assigned to them during office hours. The habit of leaving the office during office hours or of wasting official time for personal business or convenience, besides being violative of existing regulation, serves as one of the causes of making the people lose faith in the government. This practice must therefore, be stopped immediately. "In the interest of economy and to save the government from unnecessary expenses, it is hereby directed that judicious use of office supplies and materials be exercised. In this connection, attention is invited to the provisions of law penalizing the use of government property for personal purposes. "Strict compliance herewith is enjoined. (SGD.) RODRIGO D. PEREZ, JR. "Acting Secretary" (SGD.) JOSE B. LINGAD Acting Commissioner of Internal Revenue
