Nutrition Month Celebration in July

June 4, 1998 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 29-98 SUBJECT : Nutrition Month Celebration in July TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned For the information and guidance of all concerned, quoted hereunder is DOF Memorandum Order dated May 19, 1998 signed by Director Lourdes Z. Santiago of the Central Administration Office, viz: LLpr "With reference to the letter of National Nutrition Council (NNC) dated 20 March 1998, all Bureaus and Attached Agencies of this Department are hereby enjoined to participate in the celebration of Nutrition Month to be held in July. This year's theme: " Fortified foods kainin , dagdag sustansiya'y kamtin selyong sangkap pinoy hanapin " will highlight the importance of fortified foods in preventing and controlling the micronutrient deficiencies. It is aimed at encouraging the general public to adopt desirable practices consistent with the Philippine nutritional guidelines. Various activities indicated hereunder have been lined up where your Office can participate and contribute: 1. Hanging a streamer in front of agency's building (attached is the prototype design for the streamer); 2. Inclusion of nutrition month message during the flag ceremony on 06 July 1998 and every Monday thereafter for the whole month; 3. Organization of awareness-raising activities (e.g. seminars, conferences, and other special events) both for your employees and clients; 4. Inclusion of nutrition message in publications and the like; 5. Investment in nutrition projects through a PhP1.00 donation for the whole month of July; and 6. Issuance of memorandum circular to all regional directors and heads of field offices under you to give full support to the celebration. For compliance. (Sgd.) LOURDES Z.
