May 18, 1970 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 23-70 SUBJECT : Dissolution of the Special Probing Body in the Office of the Secretary of Finance TO : All revenue officers and employees Quoted below for your information and guidance is a true copy of the letter dated April 23, 1970 of Acting Secretary of Finance Cesar Virata to Justice Buenaventura Ocampo, Adviser, Special Probing Body, Department of Finance, dissolving the Special Probing Body and returning the personnel detailed therein to their respective units; and, the letter of Justice Buenaventura Ocampo dated April 27, 1970 to Commissioner Misael P. Vera, informing him of such fact, viz: cdta Department of Finance Office of the Secretary Manila April 23, 1970 "Justice Buenaventura Ocampo Adviser, Special Probing Body Department of Finance Manila "Dear Justice Ocampo: "After a discussion with the Executive Secretary, the Secretary of Justice and the Governor of the Central Bank, this Office has decided that the Special Probing Body should be dissolved and the personnel detailed therein returned to their respective units. "Should you wish, however, to continue holding office in the room you presently occupy on the 8th floor of the Beneficial Life Building, please feel free to do so and may be from time to time I may just call you for advice. "Please accept our thanks for your services and those of others who, under your leadership, constituted the Special Probing Body. "Very truly yours, "(Sgd.) JUSTICE BUENAVENTURA OCAMPO "Adviser" With the dissolution of the Special Probing Body, the investigative functions hitherto performed by the Department investigation Division, Department of Finance, and the Personnel Audit Division, Internal Audit Department, this Bureau, pursuant to Revenue Administrative Order No. 7-65 dated October 12, 1965, are deemed hereby restored. cd Please be guided accordingly.
