November 7, 2000 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 17-00 SUBJECT : Orientation of Candidates on the Career Executive Service (CES) as a Requirement for Conferment of CES Eligibility TO : All Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Regional Directors and Others Concerned For the information and guidance of all concerned, quoted hereunder is Career Executive Service Board (CESB) Circular No. 01 Series of 2000 dated April 27, 2000, signed by Chairman Corazon Alma G. De Leon addressed to all heads of Departments and Agencies of the National Government and Government Owned and Controlled Corporations. "I. Purpose Pursuant to Board Resolution No. 271 dated 27 April 2000, the following guidelines are hereby issued on the orientation of candidates on the CES as part of the screening process for conferment of CES eligibility. II. Guidelines 1. Candidates for CES eligibility who passed the Management Aptitude Test Battery (MATB), Assessment Center (AC), and the validation of performance on the job shall be required to have an orientation on the CES before they can be allowed to proceed to the last stage of the CES eligibility screening process, or the final interview by the CES Board. 2. Successful completion of the MATB and favorable results obtained from the AC and the validation process, as well as an orientation on the CES and final interview by the CES Board shall qualify the candidates for the grant of CES eligibility. IEAacT 3. The CES Board Secretariat shall determine the manner by which the orientation of candidates on the CES will be carried out. 4. Candidates who are already on-stream for conferment of CES eligibility upon the effectivity of this Circular shall be exempted from the CES orientation requirement. III.
