July 8, 1975 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 16-75 TO : All Service Heads, Regional Directors, Revenue District Officers and All Others Concerned SUBJECT : Inventory of Pending Dockets, Letters of Authority and Other Cases in the Hands of Fieldmen It has come to the attention of this Office that letters of authority have been issued indiscriminately to fieldmen, in violation of office regulations pertinent thereto. It was likewise noted that there has been pending in the hands of examiners, cases or letters of authority unacted for some time. Accordingly, examiners or other fieldmen are hereby instructed to submit an inventory cases or letters of authority pending in their possession as of June 30, 1975. The inventory should contain, among others, the name and address of the taxpayer, date of issuance of the letter of authority or date of assignment of the case, kind of tax and amount involved, if any, and the status thereof.
