Celebration of the BIR Data Privacy Month

January 24, 2023 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 11-2023 TO : All Internal Revenue Officials, Employees and Others Concerned SUBJECT : Celebration of the BIR Data Privacy Month In observance of the annual celebration of International Data Privacy Day every 28th of January, BIR will join this campaign thru BIR Data Privacy Month , with the theme "Collect What We Need, Protect What We Collect." BIR Data Privacy Month is aimed to: a) Promote, enhance and instill bureau-wide awareness and appreciation of the importance of security and privacy in the data we collect; and, b) Elicit the participation and support of all revenuers in data protection and privacy. Several activities are lined-up for the month-long campaign, starting with the Kick-off of BIR Data Privacy Month on February 3, 2023. Further, upcoming Data Privacy Month activities will be announced and disseminated through eMail. All Bureau Offices are enjoined to take part in the celebration of said activity. (SGD.) ROMEO D.
