Celebration of the 18th Anniversary of the Development Policy Research Month

August 24, 2020 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 093-20 SUBJECT : All Internal Revenue Officials, Employees and Others Concerned SUBJECT : Celebration of the 18th Anniversary of the Development Policy Research Month The month of September of every year has been declared as Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) per Proclamation No. 247 n issued on September 2, 2002. For CY 2020, the theme for the DPRM Celebration is "Bouncing Back Together: Innovating Governance for the New Normal" or " Makabagong Pamamahala para sa Sama-samang Pagbangon sa New Normal." This year's theme highlights the importance of innovating governance across all sectors of society to steer toward the path of renewed growth and dynamism. All agencies of the government and their respective regions/field offices are enjoined to participate and support the celebration through organizing activities or events that may have relevance to the importance of a new brand of governance to be truly responsive to the needs of the present time. Innovating governance across all sectors of society is a must to bounce back in the new normal. All Regional and District Offices are enjoined to provide their own DPRM streamer to be displayed at their building faade throughout the month of September. They may also coordinate with other participating agencies in their respective areas for any specific activity that they may want to participate in. Attached is the letter of Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) which details the activities for the DPRM celebration as well as the format of the DPRM streamer. Per Malacaang Proclamation 247 dated September 02, 2002, the month of September of every year is declared as Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) to promote and draw nationwide awareness on the importance of policy research in the formulation of national development plans, programs, and policies. aScITE We shall be celebrating the DPRM once more this coming September. For this year, in response to what is happening around us, we have chosen the theme, " Bouncing Back Together: Innovating Governance for the New Normal ," or in Filipino, " Makabagong Pamamahala para sa Sama-samang Pagbangon sa New Normal ." Through this theme, we hope to rouse our collective consciousness as we move forward as a nation to recover from this pandemic and face other challenges. We wish to emphasize the need to innovate governance across all sectors of society to steer the country toward the path of renewed growth and dynamism. As the agency designated to lead and coordinate the yearly observance of the DPRM, the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) invites your office/agency/local government to participate in this year's celebration through the following: 1. Display the physical banner of DPRM 2020 in your office premises or the electronic banner on your official website and social media pages. The attached file provides the design and specifications of the banner. You may access the template at http://bit.ly/dprm2020 . You are free to choose between the English version and the Filipino version depending on your locality's language preference; you may also translate the slogan in your local dialect if you wish. Repost and share DPRM promotional videos, infographics, and related announcements on your website and social media pages. Attend all the virtual events this September such as the kickoff press conference and the APPC webinar series. Organize virtual activities/events ( e.g. , webinars) that may be relevant to the theme or to policy research. Please use the attached confirmation sheet to provide details of your participation.
