April 18, 1997 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 08-97 TO : All Internal Revenue Officers and Others Concerned SUBJECT : Raising of the Philippine Flag Twenty Four (24) Hours A Day For the information and guidance of all concerned, quoted hereunder is a memorandum dated March 13, 1997 from Dir. LOURDES Z. Lourdes Z. Santiago SUBJECT : Raising of Philippine Flag Twenty Four (24) Hours A Day Enclosed herewith for information is a copy of letter dated March 4, 1997 of the Chairman, National Centennial Commission requesting the Department of Finance and all its Regional Offices nationwide to raise the Philippine Flag 24 hours a day in lieu of the forthcoming Flag Days (May 28, 1997 June 12, 1997) and the Independence Day Celebration (June 12, 1997). Moreover, it is requested that the Centennial Flag be flown alongside the Philippine Flag as an awareness campaign on the Philippine Centennial. Please be guided accordingly. (SGD) LOURDES Z.
