May 27, 2016 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 060-16 SUBJECT : Non-Acceptance of Checks/Drawn Checks from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation-Manila Representative Office (SMBC-Manila Representative Office) by Revenue Collection Officers TO : All Revenue Collection Officers (RCOs)/Special Collection Officers (SCOs)/Collection Officers (COs) and Others Concerned For the information and guidance of all concerned, all Revenue Collection Officers (RCOs)/Special Collection Officers (SCOs)/Collection Officers (COs) are hereby advised not to accept checks, as well as taxpayer's checks drawn from SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION-Manila Representative Office (SMBC-Manila Representative Office) with office address at 21st Floor, Tower One & Exchange Plaza, Ayala Triangle, Ayala Avenue, 1226 Makati City in payment of internal revenue taxes as per Monetary Board Resolution No. 767 dated April 28, 2016 of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), in view of the cessation of business operations of the said bank in the Philippines.
