April 8, 1975 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 06-75 SUBJECT : Publishing Memorandum Circular No. 815 of the Office of the President of the Philippines Requiring all National Government Officials and Employees to be Registered Members of Their Respective Barangays TO : All Internal Revenue Officers Employees and Others Concerned For the information and compliance of all officials and employees of this Bureau, there is quoted hereunder Memorandum Circular No. 815 of the Office of the President of the Philippines, dated March 26, 1975: "MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 815 "REQUIRING ALL NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES TO BE REGISTERED MEMBERS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE BARANGAYS "In accordance with the instructions of the President, all national government officials and employees, including those in the government-owned and/or controlled corporations, are hereby required to be registered members of their respective barangays not later than April 15, 1975. "A registered member of the barangay shall attend the meetings and other activities of the barangay whenever necessary. "All heads of government agencies, including government-owned and/or controlled corporations, shall submit to the Department of Local Government and Community Development, a status report on the implementation of this Circular. "Strict compliance herewith is enjoined." "By authority of the President: "(SGD.) ALEJANDRO MELCHOR "Executive Secretary" Manila, March 26, 1975 In accordance with the foregoing, all department heads, regional directors, chiefs of divisions, revenue district officers and supervisors are hereby directed to require all revenue employees in their respective units to register not later than April 15, 1975 with their respective barangays. As proof of their registration, all officials and, employees are required to submit to the Personnel Division not later than May 15, 1975 a copy of their registration or a certification from their barangay chairman that they are registered barangay members. A sample form of the Barangay Registration Record is attached herewith for your information and guidance. Strict compliance herewith is hereby enjoined. MISAEL P.
