November 25, 1976 REVENUE MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 02-77 SUBJECT : Loss of BIR Auxiliary Labels for Imported Distilled Spirits, Imported Wines and Taxpaid Rectified Alcohol TO : All Revenue Officers, Employees and others concerned Notice is hereby given of the loss of BIR auxiliary labels for imported distilled spirits, imported wines and taxpaid rectified alcohol as indicated below: Kinds of Labels Quantity Serial Numbers Auxiliary, Imported 20,000 0001560001/0001580000 Distilled Spirits CC series Auxiliary, Imported 10,000 0001840001/0001850000 Distilled Spirits CC series Auxiliary, Imported 20,000 0001880001/0001900000 Distilled Spirits CC series Auxiliary, Imported 10,000 000l840001/0001850000 Wines CC series Auxiliary, Taxpaid 10,000 0000120001/0000130000 Rectified Alcohol EC series All internal revenue officers, particularly those charged with the enforcement of specific tax laws and regulations, are hereby instructed to take possession, under proper receipt, of any imported whisky, brandy, gin or vodka, still and sparkling wines, the bottles of which are found affixed with auxiliary labels for imported spirits or wines bearing serial numbers within the ranges of numbers above-listed. In that eventuality, a report on the matter should be promptly submitted to this Office for further action. All Chiefs of Specific Tax Branches are further enjoined to take such steps as are necessary to detect or prevent the unlawful use of the missing auxiliary labels for imported distilled spirits and wines. aisa dc EFREN I.
