September 18, 1946 REPUBLIC ACT NO. 15 AN ACT PROVIDING THAT IN ANY CRIMINAL PROCEEDING BEFORE A JUSTICE OF THE PEACE NO COST DE OFICIO SHALL BE TAXED AGAINST THE MUNICIPALITY CONCERNED WHEN THE CASE IS DISMISSED OR THE DEFENDANT ACQUITTED SECTION 1. Any provisions of law to the contrary notwithstanding, in any criminal proceeding before a justice of the peace no cost de oficio shall be taxed against the municipality concerned when the case is dismissed or the defendant acquitted. cd SECTION 2.
