January 19, 2001 QUEZON CITY ORDINANCE NO. SP 994-00 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF AVAILMENT OF REAL PROPERTY TAX AMNESTY IN QUEZON CITY FROM JANUARY 19 TO MARCH 31, 2001, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE ORDINANCE NO. SP-959, S-2000 Introduced by Councilors GODOFREDO T. LIBAN II, ANTONIO L. SIOSON, VINCENT P. CRISOLOGO, ELIZABETH A. DELARMENTE, ROMMEL R. ABESAMIS, MARCIANO P. MEDALLA, ERIC Z. MEDINA, JORGE L. BANAL, JULIAN M.L. COSETENG, NANETTE CASTELO DAZA, ALMA F. MONTILLA and BAYANI V. HIPOL. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. SP-931, S-2000, was enacted by the City Council to encourage delinquent real property taxpayers to settle their tax obligations and thereby generate more revenues for the city government. WHEREAS, because of the increased expenses during the Holiday Season, few taxpayers were able to pay their realty tax despite the tax amnesty provided in Ordinance No. SP-959, S-2000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF QUEZON CITY IN SESSION ASSEMBLED: SECTION 1. The period of availment of the real property tax amnesty set under Quezon City Ordinance No. SP-934, S-2000, as amended, is hereby extended for the last time, from January 19 to March 31, 2001. SECTION 2. This Ordinance amends Quezon City Ordinance No. SP-959, S-2000. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval. ENACTED: January 19, 2001. (SGD.) CONNIE S.
