March 24, 1998 QUEZON CITY ORDINANCE NO. SP-662-98 AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TIME TO AVAIL OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX AMNESTY GRANTED TO DELINQUENT REAL PROPERTY TAXPAYERS IN QUEZON CITY UNDER QUEZON CITY ORDINANCE NO. SP-587, S-97, FROM MARCH 31, 1998 UP TO JUNE 30, 1998 Introduced by Councilors GODOFREDO T. LIBAN II, MOISES S. SAMSON, JORGE L. BANAL, ALBERTO M. GALARPE, ANTONIO L. SIOSON, WINSTON "Winnie" T. CASTELO, EUFEMIO C. LAGUMBAY and JOSEPH PETER S. SISON. WHEREAS, on December 16 1997 the Quezon City Council enacted City Ordinance No. SP-587, S-97, entitled: "AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A ONE TIME REAL PROPERTY TAX AMNESTY TO DELINQUENT REAL PROPERTY TAXPAYERS IN QUEZON CITY, UNTIL MARCH 31, 1998, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS."; WHEREAS, the records of the City Treasurer of City government will readily disclose that there are several, real property taxpayers who have not availed of the foregoing real property tax amnesty ordinance; WHEREAS, there is a need to extend the time to avail of the tax amnesty granted under the said Ordinance in order to give more time to delinquent real property taxpayers to avail of the same, especially those who were lately informed of the same and those who were having financial difficulties to avail thereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF QUEZON CITY IN SESSION ASSEMBLED SECTION 1. The time to avail of the real property tax amnesty granted to delinquent real property taxpayers in Quezon City Ordinance No. SP-587, S-97, is hereby extended from March 31, 1998 up to June 30, 1998. SECTION 2. This Ordinance hereby amends Quezon City Ordinance No. SP-587, S-97. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. ENACTED: March 24, 1998 (SGD.) JORGE L. BANAL 1st Asst.
