SP-2348-14 PO19CC-123 41st Regular Session AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ITEM II, SECTION 39, ARTICLE 15 UNDER AMUSEMENT ACTIVITIES OF THE QUEZON CITY REVENUE CODE REDUCING THE TAX RATE FROM EIGHT PERCENT (8%) TO FIVE PERCENT (5%) Introduced by Councilor Eufemio C. WHEREAS, Item II Section 39, Article 15 of the Quezon City Revenue Code provides that the rate of tax for musical concerts, theatrical plays, fashion shows and other live performances by local artists shall be eight percent (8%); WHEREAS, it is apparent that local productions does not measure in terms of attendance relative to foreign productions due to popularity and market strategy; WHEREAS, as an incentive to local producers and performers and to boost and encourage the entertainment industry in coming up with more productions thus providing for more performances by our local artists. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF QUEZON CITY IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED: SECTION 1. To amend Item II, Section 39, Article 15 of the Quezon City Revenue Code providing that the tax rate be reduced from eight percent (8%) to five percent (5%). SECTION 2.
