November 10, 1998 PSE MEMO FOR BROKERS NO. 535-98 SUBJECT : Bidding for Members Lounge Concessionaire in PSE Plaza Please be informed that the concessionaire for the Members Lounge in Ayala is open for bidding. Should you know of any one who can qualify for the job, kindly relay the attached requirements and information for qualification. The deadline for submission of quotation will be on 20 November 1998. President & CEO REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY FOR BIDDING FOR THE MEMBERS' LOUNGE CONCESSIONAIRE 1. must be a restaurant owner in current operation or must not have been out of operation for more than three (3) months 2. must have run a restaurant for at least 3 yrs with a known business name or favorable reputation in the food business cdlex 3. must be able to submit a list of institutions and/or known individuals who have satisfactorily availed of their services. 4. must have at least four (4) uniformed waiters 5. fully adequate technical and financial capability of the concessionaire 6. capability to provide equipment and utensils requirements of PSE (all utensils must be of first class quality comparable with that of five-star hotels) 7. Willingness to conduct food taste test to be attended by all the members of the committee composed of six (6) individuals. 8. Submission of a menu list that they are capable of preparing subject to the price ceiling above Other Related Matters to Consider: 1. The concessionaire must agree to have their waiters serve coffee to the members upon request without extra charge since coffee and other necessary condiments shall be provided free by the Exchange. Coffee shall be for the exclusive use of the members and their guests. LexLib 2. Cost of food should exclude service charge since the members take care of providing service fees for the waiters through a one time contribution at the end of the year. 3. PSE has refrigerator and industrial grade oven which the concessionaire can use. Minor repair shall be for the account of the concessionaire but major repair shall be for the account of PSE 4. For the first year of operation PSE shall fully subsidize cost of electricity and water but on the second year it will be a 50-50 sharing 5. The contract shall be good for two years with PSE having the option to renew or terminate services after one year if the set quality standards and other matters in the agreement are violated by the concessionaire 6. The space to be utilized by the concessionaire shall be rental free 7. The concessionaire shall provide janitor for the lounge 8. The security guard to be assigned in the lounge shall be for the account of the Exchange and shall be stationed in the lounge entrance from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. After 7PM cost of guard services shall be for the account of party host. cdlex 9.
