September 25, 1998 PSE MEMO FOR BROKERS NO. 435-98 SUBJECT : Year 2000 Awareness Representatives from PSE, PCD and several member-brokers have recently formed a group to take up issues relating to Year 2000 concerns in the securities industry. These member-brokers were composed of ABN AMRO Asia Securities (Philippines), Inc., Angping and Associates Securities, Inc., ATR Securities, Inc., Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Securities Philippines, Inc., ING Baring Securities (Phils), Inc., Jardine Fleming Exchange Capital Securities, Inc., Merrill Lynch Securities Philippines, Inc., Warburg Dillon Read Securities (Phils.), Inc. and Worldsec International Sec. (Phils.), Inc. As discussed during its first meeting, the primary purpose of the Group is to promote Year 2000 awareness, conduct "Street Wide Testing" and address the substantive business continuity, integrity of the industry's business and protection against potential risks to investors brought upon by the millennium bug.
