March 9, 1999 PSE MEMO FOR BROKERS NO. 107-99 SUBJECT : Changes to the Maktrade System Please be informed of the following changes to the Maktrade System which are now in effect. A. Log-in Restriction A terminal security scheme was implemented wherein each trader ID can have access only to the terminals assigned to their respective brokerage. A trader ID assigned to another brokerage firm cannot have access to the system via another broker's terminal. The system allows for the checking and verification of the user name, trader ID, password and terminal location before enabling access to the MarketWorks application. In cases where a trader tries to log-in his ID from another broker's terminal, the following message will be displayed and access to the application will be denied: B. Password Expiration The password is valid only for a period of one month, after which it should be updated. Five days prior to expiration, a reminder message will appear on the screen as follows: This message will continue to appear every time a user logs in to the system until the password is updated or the validity period has lapsed. If a user fails to update his/her password within the allotted period, the following message will be displayed on the screen and the trader ID will be locked. The trader has to contact the Help Desk (located at each trading floor) to reactivate the trader ID. For inquiries or clarifications, please contact the ATG Help Desk at the trading floor. cdlex (SGD.) RAFAEL L. LLAVE Chief Operating Officer
