May 7, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 965-98 SUBJECT : China Banking Corporation Further to Circular No. 585-98 dated April 2, 1998, China Banking Corporation ("CHIB") informed the Exchange in a letter dated May 6, 1998 that its Board of Directors, at its regular meeting held on even date, approved the following: 1. fixing of the record date of the four percent (4%) cash dividend declaration, equivalent to P4 . 00 per share, approved by the Board on April 1, 1998 and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on April 27, 1998, on May 25, 1998 ; 2. fixing of the date of payment on June 19, 1998 and for the said purpose, CHIB's transfer books will be closed from May 26, 1998 to June 9, 1998 , inclusive. cdlex For your information.
