May 4, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 926-98 SUBJECT : Interport Resources Corporation Postponement of Offer Period INTERPORT RESOURCES CORPORATION ( the "Company" ) requested for the postponement of the offer period of its 1:1 Preemptive Rights Offering. In a letter to the Exchange, dated April 30, 1998, the Company reasoned that: "The forthcoming May 11 local and presidential elections have dampened the stock market activity during the past few days including the IRC stocks which has gone below the par value of P0.01 per share, as investors take to the sidelines and are on the wait-and-see attitude prior the elections. We forsee that this lack of buying interest will continue until the elections and will therefore have an effect to IRC stockholders who may refrain from or may lose strong interest in subscribing IRC shares. We believe that under the post election environment, the mood of IRC stockholders will be positive and that they will resort to aggressive buying of IRC stocks." The new offer period will be announced later. For your information and guidance. (SGD.) REYNOLD P. ONG Vice-President, Listing and Disclosures Group
