PSE Center, Exchange Road Ortigas Center, Pasig City Dear Ms. Angeles : This is with reference to your letter dated 27 April 1999 addressed to, Atty. Camilo D. Quiason seeking confirmation of the Manila Times article. Please be informed that MERALCO, in a press briefing immediately following our Annual Stockholder's Meeting held yesterday announced that management is evaluating options that would address the funding of its US$500 million capital expenditure program for the coming years . The Company had not indicated the timetable as well as the possible manner by which the said capital expenditure program will be funded.
