Grace De Guia Listings & Disclosure Department SUBJECT : Effectivity dates of trading Petrofields' reclassified shares and suspension of trading Gentlemen : Further to our discussion on the above subject, we would like to inform you of the dates to be adopted for the implementation of the reclassification of shares of Petrofields Corporation ("Company"). Following you advice, hereunder is the proposed schedule prior to the effectivity of trading based on reclassified shares: Record Date May 4, 1999 Stockholders on record whose shares will be reclassified. (and the last day of trading of old certificates) Start of suspension of May 5, 1999 Suspension of trading to trading give the Company enough time to recover and replace shares with new common and redeemable preferred shares. End of suspension of On or about June 7, 1999 Last day of suspension of trading trading.
