GRACE B . de GUIA PHILIPPINE STOCK EXCHANGE, INC PSE Center, Exchange Road Ortigas Center, Pasig City Dear Ms. De Guia In connection with your letter of today regarding the news article on Petron Bataan Refinery's closure, we wish to issue a statement clarifying that the Company has not received any official advise from the Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR) that the Department is closing Bataan Refinery for violating environmental regulations. Petron has been religiously monitoring its effluent and emission levels and confirms that this is within the limits set by DENR.
