April 15, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 679-98 SUBJECT : EEI Corporation Confirmation of News Article EEI Corporation confirmed to the Exchange, in a letter dated April 14, 1998, its intention to sell its 20% stake in Subic Power Corporation and its property in Lemery, Batangas. EEI Corporation explained in said letter that: ". . ., we wish to confirm reports that EEI intends to sell its 20% stake in Subic Power Corporation and its property in Lemery, Batangas. We are presently negotiating with a prospective buyer for the Subic Power stake but no agreement has been reached yet. For the Lemery lot, real estate brokers have been authorized to scout for buyers and we were informed few prospects have been identified; no direct contact has however been made with prospective buyers."
