April 5, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 667-99 MEMORANDUM TO : Ms. Grace de Guia PSE FROM : Ms. Debbie Tan DATE : April 5, 1999 RE : Clarification of News Article In response to your fax, 5 April, 1999, Piltel Would like to clarify that the contents of the article in the Philippine Daily Inquirer are speculative. A formal proposal of this nature has not been presented to any of Piglet's creditors. The Company can confirm that discussions are ongoing with all of its creditors to try to find a equitable solution to its financial difficulties and it will keep the PSE fully appraise of any significant development in this regard.
