Cervantes Chief Operating Officer Gentlemen : This refers to your faxed letter dated March 10, 2000 regarding the supposed unusual movement in the trading of Abra Mining and Industrial Corporation (AR) shares on March 10, 2000. Please be informed that we are not aware of any information material or otherwise, which could have caused the sudden increase of the traded AR shares by 50%. There is therefore nothing to disclosure or disseminate to the Exchange or to any other entity or office for that matter. Rest assured that should we come across any information which caused or which tends to cause any increase or decrease in the traded shares of AR, we will immediately make the necessary disclosure or disclosures.
