April 6, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 612-98 SUBJECT : Pilipino Telephone Corporation Further to Circular No. 591-98 dated April 3, 1998, pertaining to the Audited Financial Statements for 1997 of subject corporation, Pilipino Telephone Corporation ("PLTL") informed the Exchange in a letter on even date, that the Earnings per Share in the Consolidated Statements of Income was misstated. Below are the correct figures: prLL Earnings per share: Basic from -0.46 to -0.56 Diluted from -0.41 to -0.50 PLTL in said letter explained that: "The above misstatements were unintentional and were not intended to mislead the Exchange and the public."
