March 24, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 582-99 PNB Appoints New Senior Officers The Philippine National Bank has recently appointed three new executive vice presidents and seven senior vice presidents in line with its organizational build -up. EVP Marvyn G. Encanto, former president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and SVP/chief legal counsel of United Coconut Planters Bank, will supervise PNB's Retail Banking Sector and Domestic Branches. EVP Manuel C. Mendoza, former president of Centennial Savings Bank and PNB-Republic Bank and SVP for PNB Luzon Branches, will be in charge of the Bank's Management Support Services Sector. EVP Basilio R. Cruz, Jr., former VP of PCIB, will supervise PNB's International Banking and Congenerics Coordinating sectors. Other PNB senior officers appointed were Senior Vice Presidents Wifrido S. Verzosa, Human Resources Group; Teodoro D. Bunaag, Treasury Group; Renato B. de Guzman, International Banking Group; Sylvia G. Lorenzana, Luz-Viz-Min Bus/Cons Center Group; Isabelita T. Manalastas, PNB Tokyo Branch; Largion A. Najera, Branch Operation & Consumer Banking Group-Luzon; and Genielle B. Romano, Internal Audit. aisadc PNB has also appointed Bank Director Santiago S. Cua, Jr. as concurrent Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer & Chief Lending Officer. Formerly SEVP of Westmont Bank, Mr. Cua finished his BS Management Engineering course from the Ateneo de Manila University. He has more than 18 years of banking experience in Germany.
