March 6, 2000 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 557-00 GLOBELINES OFFERS P3.00 NDD FLAT-RATE Subscribers of Globelines, GLOBE TELECOM's fully-digital landline service, can enjoy huge savings in their national direct dial (NDD) calls for the whole month of March. This develops as Globelines offers the lowest flat rate of P3.00 for Globelines-to-Globelines and Globelines-to-Globe Handyphone (the Company's cellular mobile service) calls. This promo rate applies during peak and off-peak hours, Monday to Sunday, during the promo period, and is inclusive of the 10% Value Added Tax (VAT). With the promo, subscribers of Globelines can save as much as 44% on NDD when they call other Globelines users from anywhere in the country. Likewise, they can save as much as 69% (depending on the call destination) each time they call Globe Handyphone users during the promo period. The promo, however, does not cover operator-assisted domestic long-distance calls and calls made on Globe Handyphone to Globelines. To give subscribers more value for money, Globelines recently reduced its regular international direct dial (IDD) rates to US$0.70 a minute on peak hours, from 8:00 AM to 7:59 PM, Monday to Friday. Globelines' IDD rates are even lower at US$0.50 a minute on off-peak hours, from 8:00 PM to 7:59 AM on Mondays to Fridays and the whole day of Saturdays and Sundays. Globelines' IDD rates are inclusive of the overseas communications tax (OVCOM), foreign currency adjustment (FCA) and currency exchange rate adjustment (CERA). Globelines is available in GLOBE TELECOM's government-assigned service areas which include Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasig and Marikina in the National Capital region (NCR); Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro and Palawan in southern Luzon; and Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, and North Cotabato in Mindanao. Globelines uses state-of-the art, fully-digital technology to provide residential and business subscribers access to advanced telephone functions and features.
