Manager Fax No.: 636-0809 Gentlemen : This is in response to your request for clarification of today's Business World article entitled: "Keppel Group offers to buy SSS' stake in Equitable PCI" . As may be gleaned from the body of said article, this alleged offer to buy (Offer) from the Keppel Group, is supposedly directed at our shareholder, the Social Security System (SSS). Whether or not true, this Offer is a concern of SSS, who like any shareholder of other listed companies, is free to discuss such purported proposals without obligation to report it to Equitable PCI Bank.
