March 27, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 520-98 SUBJECT : Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation ("RCB") confirmed to the Exchange, in a letter dated March 26, 1998, its interest in acquiring Orient Bank contrary to the news article published in the March 25, 1998 issue of the Philippine Star. RCB explained in said letter that: "RCBC is still interested for as long as it can acquire Orient Bank on the basis of a clean balance sheet and there are no legal impediments such as court cases, that will prevent RCBC from acquiring Orient Bank."
