Buenaventura Listing and Disclosure Group We refer to your fax letter requesting us to clarify the news article captioned "PLDT looking to buy back Piltel Bonds", published in the, March 10 1999 issue of Today. The article reported that PLDT is planning to buy back the convertible bonds of its subsidiary, Pilipino Telephone Corporation ("Piltel") after it reached a debt restructuring agreement with its creditor banks. aisadc We advise that Piltel's restructuring/rehabilitation plan continue to be discussed with its bank creditors.
