Petron Terminal Get ISO 9002 Certification

March 25, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 466-98 Press Release PETRON TERMINAL GET ISO 9002 CERTIFICATION Two more terminals of Petron Corporation were recently conferred the ISO 9002 Certificates by the Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). The Certificates were given to Pandacan and Batangas Terminals in recognition of the quality system adopted by these two locations along the standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The Certificates re-affirm the world-class quality of Petron's products and services. LLpr Previous recipients include the Lube & Grease Plant also at Pandacan Terminal, the Rosario Terminal LPG Plant in Rosario, Cavite, and the Poro Bulk Plant in San Fernando, La Union. Additionally, between January and the first week of March this year, five more bulk plants successfully hurdled the very rigorous quality audit of the BVQI, which thus entitles them very soon to receive their ISO 9002 Certificates. These are the Mactan Aviation Depot in Cebu, the Bacolod Bulk Plant, Bacolod City, the Jimenez Bulk Plant in Misamis Occidental, the Zamboanga Bulk Plant, Zamboanga City, and the Parang Bulk Plant in Maguindanao. Five more bulk plants and one sales office are scheduled to undergo quality audits between the last week of March and the first week of April. These are the Tagoloan Bulk Plant in Misamis Oriental, the Iligan Bulk Plant, Iligan City, Tacloban Bulk Plant, Tacloban City, Ormoc Bulk Plant, Ormoc City, Isabel Bulk Plant in Leyte, and the Calamba Warehouse in Calamba, Laguna. For the remaining part of the year, Petron is aiming for the ISO-certification of thirteen bulk plants, such that by January 1999, just nine locations will be remaining to work out their certification. These lofty but attainable goals that Petron has set upon itself only shows that the spirit of quality in the company remains strong.#
