Guia Disclosure Department Ladies and Gentlemen : We refer to your fax letter requesting us to clarify the news article captioned "ETPI seeks P124M in dues from PLDT", published in the March 8, 1999 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. As indicated in the news article, there are on-going discussions regarding many aspects of the commercial relationship between the Company and Eastern Telecommunications Philippines, Inc. The extent of the balances due from each party to the other is one of such items under discussions.
