February 22, 2000 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 428-00 February 21, 2000 Philippine Stock Exchange Tektite Tower Ortigas Center Pasig City Attention: Ms. Grace B. de Guia Assistant Managers Disclosure Department Dear Ms. De Guia : With reference to your letter dated February 21, 2000 regarding the news article entitled "Benpres planning public listing for cable affiliate", the company would like to make the following clarifications. 1) SkyCable's plans of doing an initial public offering in 1997 were pushed back due to the Asian crisis. While this offering remains an option, the Company has no concrete plans as of the moment. 2) PhP1.5 billion - PhP2.5 billion (not USD1.5 to 2.5 Billion) has been allotted to SkyCable to upgrade its network over a two-year period.
