Lacorte Disclosure Department Ladies and Gentlemen : This is in response to your letter of even date seeking clarification regarding the newspaper article captioned "PLDT to infuse P2.0 B more in Piltel" that appeared in today's issue of the Manila Bulletin. At this stage, PLDT Management's view is that any rehabilitation plan of Piltel, to be successful, will likely require the participation of and support from PLDT. As such, PLDT is prepared to consider infusing additional funds in Piltel as part of a mutually acceptable rehabilitation plan. Any proposed Piltel rehabilitation plan will have to be submitted to the Board of Directors of PLDT which shall determine the acceptability of such plan from PLDT's perspective. cdll With kindest regards.
