March 10, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 326-98 March 9, 1998 Philippine Stock Exchange Exchange Center, Exchange Road Ortigas Center, Pasig City Gentlemen : This has reference to the promissory note for P860,000,000.00 convertible into 200,000,000 new common shares issued by Republic Cement Corporation to South Western Cement Ventures, Inc. on February 19, 1998. We are thus informing the Exchange that pursuant to the term of the note, South Western Cement Ventures, Inc. has given notice of its intention to convert the promissory note into 200,000,000 new common shares of Republic Cement Corporation.
