Grace B . de Guia Disclosure Department Ladies and Gentlemen: We refer to your fax letter which we received at 9:12 a.m. today, requesting for written confirmation/clarification on the news article captioned "PLDT to sell assets to raise money", published in the November 8, 1999 issue of the Manila Times, which reported that PLDT is selling 30 non-strategic assets, mostly real estate properties, with an appraised value of P2 billion. cdll We advise that PLDT has identified for disposal around 20 real properties which are no longer needed for its operations and such properties have an appraised value of around P3.0 Billion based on an appraisal made in 1997.
