November 3, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2798-99 October 29, 1999 PHILIPPINE STOCK EXCHANGE Philippine Stock Exchange Center Exchange Road, Ortigas Center Pasig City, Metro Manila ATTENTION: Ms . Grace de Guia Listing and Disclosure Gentlemen: We disclose that today, 29 October 1999, Mariwasa Manufacturing, Inc. ("MMI") and Mariwasa-Siam Ceramics, Inc. ("MSC") and the International Finance Corporation ("IFC") reached agreement whereby IFC will lend to MMI and MSC, and MMI and MSC will borrow from IFC, a Senior Loan in the amount of Japanese Yen: One Billion Two hundred Fifty-Seven Million Nine Hundred Sixty Thousand (JPY1,257,960,000) and a Subordinated Loan in the amount of US Dollars: Three Million (US$3,000,000).
