December 16, 1998 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2776-98 SUBJECT : Uniwide Holdings, Inc . Uniwide Holdings, Inc. ("UHI") clarified to the Exchange a news article published in the December 15, 1998 issue of the Business World, which reported that UHI is said to be in talks with two local mall developers and one foreign investor which have expressed interest for a possible partnership including infusion of additional funds. UHI, through its letter dated December 15, 1998, explained that: ". . . the negotiations as reported in the news article refer to possible strategic partnership with our franchisee, Uniwide Sales Warehouse Club, Inc. operator of the Uniwide chain of warehouse clubs and department stores and not with UHI.
