(PEP) entered into a co-production agreement with Radio Philippines Network, Inc. (RPN Channel 9) regarding the broadcast of certain films from PEP's film library on Channel 9. Corporate Secretary PREMIERE-RPN 9 JOINT VENTURE In its bold effort to start 1999 with a major television project, Premiere Entertainment Productions, Inc. has recently entered into a year-long Co-Production Agreement with Radio Philippines Network, Inc. (RPN) for the airing of a new television program titled "PREMIERE PILIPINO KLASIKS" (PPK). The Agreement has been signed by Premiere Acting President and CEO, Mr. Anastacio P. Diaz, Jr. and RPN General Manager and COO, Mr. Antonio Carandang. With the rich and dynamic list of films and titles in Premiere's library, PPK showcases Filipino film classics starring the biggest marquee names of today. Among the featured actors and actresses are Fernando Poe, Jr., Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Dolphy, Eddie Garcia and Lorna Tolentino. Classic films starring President Joseph Estrada, and Senators Ramon Revilla and Robert Jaworski will likewise be broadcasted. The viewing public will also get to watch the silver screen stars of the golden age of Philippine Cinema like Jose Padilla, Jr. Leopoldo Salcedo, Romeo Vasquez, Chiquito, Nida Blanca, and Nestor de Villa. The daily programming of PPK has been designed to niche the television audience similar to the prime-time programming on cable television. PPK Mondays feature action films. Romance is scheduled to run on PPK Tuesdays. For PPK Wednesdays, comedy is the name of the game. Dramatic films are to be delivered on PPK Thursdays, while PPK Fridays are reserved for fantasy related films. Both Premiere and RPN-9 believe that Filipino film viewing in the afternoon has always been a popular draw among the viewing audience. With its featured Filipino film classics, Mr. Diaz and Mr. Carandang has expressed their confidence that "Premiere Filipino Klasiks" (PPK) will become a permanent and standard fixture in the afternoon television programming. "Premiere Pilipino Klasiks" (PPK) will air on RPN-9 from Monday to Friday at 2:30 4:30 PM starting February 15, 1999.
