On 10 November 1998, GPHC submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") and Philippine Stock Exchange ("PSE") a disclosure report in the form of SEC Form 11-C concerning the purchases of GPHC shares by Zatrio Pte. Ltd. ("ZPT") from Hong Leong Enterprises Pte Ltd. The disclosure mentioned that ZPT undertook the acquisition of shares because ZPT considered it a good opportunity to improve its earning yield and to diversify the earnings base of its mother corporation, Republic Hotels and Resources Ltd. We are rectifying the error in the designation of Republic Hotels and Resources Ltd.
