October 4, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2503-99 SUBJECT : Belle Corporation This is with reference to the article entitled "Belle unit seeks three-way merger with racing clubs" published in today's issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The article reported that Belle Corporation's ("BEL") Metro Manila Turf Club is seeking a possible merger with Manila Jockey Club, Inc. and Philippine Racing Club, Inc. to consolidate their resources and speed up their separate plans. In its letter, BEL clarified that: ". . . Please be informed that the article which states in part that: "Belle Corp.'s Metro Manila Turf Club is seeking a possible merger with Manila Jockey Club, Inc. and Philippine Racing Club, Inc. to consolidate their resources and speed up their separate plans." is false and incorrect. . . ."
