Buenaventura Supervisor - Disclosure Department Gentlemen: We write in response to your fax message dated September 28, 1999 asking for clarification on the news article that appeared in today's Business World entitled "Creditors start foreclosure proceedings on Mimosa". We confirm that judicial foreclosure proceedings have been commenced by United Coconut Planters Bank, Asian Bank Corp., Far East Bank & Trust Company.
