September 24, 1999 PSE CIRCULAR FOR BROKERS NO. 2407-99 SUBJECT : Ionics Circuits, Inc . Ionics Circuits, Inc. ("ION") informed the Exchange that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved on September 21, 1999 its Amended Articles of Incorporation, particularly the amendment to Article II, reflecting the change in its primary purpose from manufacturing to that of a holding company. Furthermore, the SEC approved on the same date the incorporation of Ionics EMS, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ION, as the result of the spin-off of its Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) division. The change in ION's sector to Holding Firms will be reflected in the Exchange's computer system (electronic board and ticker) on Tuesday, September 28, 1999. For your information. (SGD.) JOSE LUIS U.
