Other Events : Cancellation of BOI Certificate of Registration as New Producer of Intravenous Fluids in Plastic Bottles Euro-Med Laboratories Phil., Inc., was registered with the Board of Investments as a non-pioneer but was granted with pioneer incentives under Registration Certificate No. EP-88-354 dated 13 May 1988 providing for the following incentives, among others: 1. Income tax holiday for six (6) years from August 1989; 2. Tax and duty free importation of capital equipment up to May 13, 1993. cdll After the expiration of its income tax holiday on July 1995, Euro-Med Laboratories Phil., Inc. no longer availed of, nor was entitled to, any other incentives as provided in the registration certificate. Hence, on 19 August 1998, Euro-Med Laboratories Phil., Inc. requested for the cancellation of its Registration Certificate No. EP-88-354. On 1 October 1998, the Board of Investments, acting thru its Board, granted said request without refund of incentives as per its letter dated 6 October 1998 and advised Euro-Med Laboratories Phil., Inc. to surrender the original copy of its Certificate of Registration (C.R. No. 88-354) to the Board of Investments. On 15 October 1998, the Corporation complied with said directive and surrendered the original copy of its Certificate of Registration No. EP-88-354 dated 13 May 1988 pursuant to 06 October 1998 letter of Director Gia Marie C. Andres, Consumer Manufacturers Department, BOI. This cancellation, however, will not materially nor adversely affect the financial or operational position of the Company inasmuch as it has been continuously producing said products notwithstanding the expiration of its incentives.
